Flotation and Sedimentation Tanks
A flotation tank is a stainless steel vessel designed for separating heavily contaminated, shredded plastic waste from other unwanted materials of different densities and impurities such as sand, stones, metals, etc. The construction of the flotation tank is a water-filled container that preliminarily washes and separates the floating material from the sinking.
Moving the floating, shredded material on the surface of the tank is made possible by the use of agitator systems (floaters) with mounted blade screens. Equipped with appropriate horizontal and inclined screw feeders, continuous removal of impurities from the tank bottom is possible, and the purified material is discharged along with water into centrifuges, enabling continuous water circulation in the tank.
Each of our tanks is designed to meet the specific needs of our customers. Washing and flotation processes are carried out very efficiently. Each tank has independent agitator and waste/material intake drives. We have necessary experience in flotation with most types of plastics. We will advise and design the appropriate material and waste intake configuration, types of floaters, and other components.
